Heywood Aces Late Restart For Sportsman Win   PLATTSBURGH – Nick Heywood aced two late race restarts to collect his first win in the Poirier's True Value Sportsman Modified feature at Airborne Park Speedway.                 Heywood, who started in position twelve, made the pass for the lead on the outside of Patrick Picotin on a lap-21 restart. Heywood would drive to a 5 car length lead before a yellow flag slowed the pace on lap-23. With lane choice for the green-white-checkered finish, Heywood selected the outside and worked the cushion to a victory.                 "I was glad to have lane choice," Heywood said. "It was slick down low in the middle of the turns, so I was hoping to get him (Picotin) to spin the tires."                 Picotin held on to the second spot at the finish line. Kenyan Teresa Odera Earns Tennis Conference Honors

Teresa Odera of Kenya, and student at Northwestern College Iowa, recently earned Conference Honors in singles and doubles for the third year running as second singles player and, together with her partner Frankie Eszes, as 1st Doubles pair. She also qualified together with her team to NAIA Nationals held in Alabama, the first time being with her former team, Vanguard. Sadili Oval congratulate Terry for this amazing achievement, and both Frankie and Eszes for leading the team to nationals for the first time, this year. Both girls have graduated, GOOD LUCK! Sadili's Girl Power Clubs Africa to Lead Global Mentoring Walk

Preparations are underway to mark this year's International Women's Day on 5th March, in Uholo, Ugenya Constituency, Kenya, with the Global Mentoring Walk that will see more than 200 girls partner with mentors who will help them make life's decisions. This is be the first time that an event of this nature takes place in a rural setting in Kenya. We are pleased that Vital Voices Fellow Dr. Liz Odera, chose the Girl Power Clubs Africa Program in Ugunja Constituency to be the flag-bearers for Kenya. The Guest of Honour will be the Siaya County Women’s MP Hon Dr Christine Ombaka. Other leaders from the county will be present. It will be a precursor event to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
